-To establish an academy for O-G Therapeutic Tutors
-To develop a code of standards and ethics
-To provide professional guidelines
-To enhance professional development and educational opportunities within the field of services to individuals with a specific Language/ Learning Difference (Dyslexia).
The Society Will:
-Ensure a high quality of service through the supervision of training
courses and on-going educational opportunities for O-G tutors.
-Provide support and professional status for Therapeutic Tutors.
-Maximize availability of specific help for individuals in need of educational
remediation.

Tutor Associate - Interim
- A criminal record search will be required.
-Personal references from a professional of at least three years' acquaintance and a non-relative of at least five years' acquaintance.
-Satisfactory completion of an approved basic Orton-Gillingham course.
-Completed application form.
-Payment for application processing and for annual membership fee.
Tutor Associate
-Completion of minimum one year as Tutor Associate-Interim (minimum of 100 hours of one-to-one tutoring).
-Recommendation from a Tutor Supervisor after observation of a tutoring session.
-Completion of ongoing continuing education yearly at an approved CATT (O-G) multisensory workshop.
Tutor Supervisor
-Supervised practicum under a CATT (O-G) Fellow during a recognized Orton-Gillingham training program such as the CATT (O-G) Multisensory Summer School.
-Completion of ongoing continuing education yearly at an approved CATT (O-G) multisensory workshop.
-The willingness to carry out the supervisory role for CATT (O-G).
-Minimum 5 years tutoring experience since O-G training certificate was
completed.
Tutor Trainer
-Has met the CATT Orton-Gillingham Trainer Certificate Completion Requirements.
Fellow
-A Founding Director of the society who has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the development, purpose and vision of CATT (O-G).
