Universal Learning through Structure
Part II Narative Structure
This workshop is designed for educators who want learn more about learning and enjoy thinking inside "the black box."
Strategies will be shared that can make a positive difference for all students, of all ages, and all abilities. There have been remarkable advances in comprehension research that will help to maximize your teaching efforts and support student learning. We will spend the day learning two extremely addictive learning structures and their related instructional strategies.
Morning Workshop
· play with and explore the dimensions of Question Structure
· learn how to strategically apply this universal structure to control and improve
· content comprehension and scaffold concept attainment.
Afternoon Workshop
· understand and play with a Narrative Structure organizer called the Super Smart Chart
· make this implicitly existing structure explicitly useful for setting and obtaining specific learning objectives.
