We're excited to have Ron Yoshimoto back to Vancouver for Spring Fling 2019. His special presentation will emphasize syllabication and morphology, with hands-on activities to support our practices. Attendees will be also gain lots of teaching materials made by Yoshimoto. Don't miss!
Ronald Yoshimoto has been in fields of dyslexia and education for over 40 years as a general education teacher, a special education resource teacher, social worker/counselor, educational diagnostician, elementary and middle principal of a private school for dyslexic and gifted students for over 18 years, and a consultant and teacher trainer for OG basic, OG Advanced, Multisensory Math , OG Preschool and OG ELL. He is the founder and director of Orton-Gillingham International (based in Denver), the Dyslexic and O-G Institute (based in Hawaii) and the founder of the MSL Centre (OG therapy Centre in Singapore). He has done training in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Manila, Nova Scotia, and Australia. He has trained teachers (public school to primary emphasis) to do OG in one-on-one, small group and whole classroom settings. He is a Fellow of the AOGPE and was its vice-president and president of the Hawaii Branch of the International Dyslexia Association.
